Cacao is a fruit grown in tropical environments around the world and It is what gives chocolate its signature taste. It’s also responsible for the good feelings that we experience when we eat it. Cacao itself is made from fermented Cacao fruit seeds that are ground into a paste. Since it was first discovered at least 5,000 years ago, Cacao has been considered medicine and is consumed during rituals and ceremonies.

Ingredients: Ceremonial Cacao, Damiana, Turmeric, Black Pepper.

INSTRUCTIONS: Unlike cocoa powder, ceremonial cacao has not been defatted and requires warm water and thorough blending for it to mix well. Add approximately 1/3 of the bar to warm water (not boiling) and mix well. You can also blend it with milk for a creamier texture. Since this cacao paste has no additional ingredients, it can be a bit bitter for the first time. You can add dates, honey, or any sweetener of your choice.
Cacao Ceremony:
Ceremony starts from the moment you prepare your cacao. Be conscious and transform the process of preparing it into an active meditation. Enjoy and honor the spirit the cacao in the aromas that come out of the it, blend with love and an open heart.
After preparing it, you can play sacred sounds, hold your cup of Cacao to your heart and connect with the 4 elements. Give thanks to the spirit of Cacao and the wisdom of the elders. Set your intention.
